Not Receiving Notifications of Comments, Comment Replies

I noticed the no notifications problem yesterday. Still happening today.
1. browser = Firefox 19.0
2. username = brookewilkerson
3. commented here with no notifications to replies = http://loveteachsew.wordpress.com/2013/03/03/the-one-with-all-the-fail/
4. Are you able to see the notifications as expected at http://wordpress.com/#!/notifications/ ? No.
5. If you expected to receive notifications via email, did they arrive, and did you check your email’s spam folder? n/a (not signed up for emails)
I found the responses to my comments using the “comments I’ve made” page of my dashboard despite the lack of notifications. I also noticed (last night) that some of my old notifications have disappeared from my notification list.

I am having the same problem as others have reported. Below is my information:
1. Which browser (and version of) are you using? Visit http://supportdetails.com/ Safari 6.0, same problem no matter which browser
2. Which username were you logged in to when you commented?

@shoreacres: hi, saw you there, too. Good to see there’s active work being done on this and knocking wood it gets fixed soon! To me, it’s one of the very best features of WordPress over blogger, e.g., so a real shame that it’s not working.

I’m not signed up for emails. I can see notifications on my Iphone screen, but when I click on the WP app there’s nothing to read. -

The notifications outage or issue seems to have started early on Friday or late Thursday…..I noticed the issue and asked others about it Friday

I have been facing the same problem. It is very difficult to keep in touch with the previous activities unless it is through notifications.

I have wondered if any “ad partner” content was added about the time the problem arose. I noticed just before the notifications went down or in the same time frame there was an issue with the entire page loading for an excessively long time and never completing loading, sometimes a refresh would get it to finish loading a blog page but it slowed response and slow on posted messages appearing also ….so there was some sort of bandwidth issue or a conflicting script running……and that can be caused by ad content because I have seen it happen before, the same thing happens on eBay sometimes when they have a screwball ad partner with buggered script or a slow server and it interferes with the main page it is “blended” not so seamlessly. Sometimes the ad content does not work and play well with others. Just a thought.

Sorry for the trouble, this is all fixed up now!
Previously missing notifications are unfortunately lost, as they never existed in the first place, but future notifications will be visible.
