Not receiving password recovery email
-
I cannot access my wordpress account linked to my page designingthelaw.wordpress.com. I tried to request an email (I do know the exact email and username associated with this page) but it hasn’t appeared in my spam/inbox/or trash. In order to even receive help I’ve had to make a new account to be able to post on this forum. I tried to find my activation email but I can’t seem to find it because I deleted it awhile ago – as I assume so many people do because WordPress doesn’t tell you in the email to keep it because it may be important in the future!

There is a single email address that can be used on only one username account and not on any others, regardless of how many blogs are registered under that username account. The blog’s owner can change the relevant email address on their accounts page at https://wordpress.com/me/account

When I signed up for the @kadtl I used the same e-mail that would be linked to my @designingthelaw wordpress (the only difference possibly being .googlemail instead of .gmail).
Does this mean my e-mail is no longer linked with my blog? This is the only possible e-mail address I would have used to sign up for my wordpress account and now I’m concerned that someone has access to my account/I will no longer be able to access my account even though my personal information is linked with that account and webpage.

Yes, the original e-mail you used when creating the account and blog is still present. If you still have access to that e-mail, you should be able to fill out the account recovery form to retrieve access.
Thanks!

I have access to my account on my laptop thanks to the remember me function but I can’t seem to change anything. Everything is grey/blue, it won’t let me save changes, and it says I have no sites currently linked to my account when I should have the designingthelaw.wordpress.com linked. It also doesn’t show any email linked to my account. I deleted the authorization email when I set up my account a year ago and have no way of retrieving it and never set up two way authorization thing. I don’t know what’s happening and I’m scared to log out and lose my access forever! Please help.

If not clear, I can’t fill out the form because you have to be able to authorize for it to send.

I see a grey box where the username should be. An empty white box for email. Primary site has a drop down menu that’s blinking grey and when you click on it there’s only the blinking grey option. Web address has the same empty white box as email address and the save account settings button is light blue instead of the normal blue.

What I can do is e-mail the address associated with the account so that you can check all of your e-mails and see which one receives the message. All you would need to do is respond from that e-mail to verify ownership. Then, I will definitely be able to assist you in regaining access.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Ok sounds good! Can you please let me know when you’ve sent the emails so I know when to look?
