Not receiving update emails

  I have the blogs I’m following set to send me instant email updates when a new post is published, but I haven’t received any emails with new posts since Saturday (3/28), despite new posts in my Reader.

  I’m still getting emails for new followers, so I don’t think there’s an issue with the email that WP has for me and I didn’t change my email settings before this happened. I’ve double-checked that I still have those blogs set to send immediate email updates, so that’s not the issue either.

  Is anyone else experiencing this?

  Hi there,
  I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Will you please the URLs of the blogs that you failed to receive posts from? After you do that subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

  There’s about 190 of them–only one of the blogs I’m subscribed to came through, and that one I subscribed by email rather than using the WP follow button since they didn’t have one. Thank you for tagging it!

  Hi @sabinaleybold,

  I just checked our email records, and it looks like we’ve sent quite a few emails (50+) over the past three days including several new posts pingback notifications, and subscription confirmations. All of the emails appear to have made it to your address (we didn’t get a failure notification). Are these getting trapped in a Gmail filter by chance (Spam, Social, etc)?

  Not sure how, but it looks like they did all get into the spam folder (which I didn’t notice since I use the Mac Mail app instead of Gmail in the browser). I’ve marked them as not spam and hopefully that’ll clear up the issue. Thanks for your help!

  No problem! I believe marking them as “Not Spam” should teach Gmail to put them in the correct spot going forward. If not, I believe you can create a filter in Gmail that will put all emails from @wordpress.com into your inbox or a folder you specified:
