Not recongising my confirmed email address

I have started my first WordPress blog and have confirmed my email address twice. And I’m still getting this message
‘Please confirm your email address. A confirmation email was sent to (email visible only to moderators and staff). Confirmation will enable publishing of posts on your blog. Resend Email | Update Email Address’
Because of this I’m not getting full functionality.
Please advise

Hi there – Did you find the activation email and click to confirm, and did you get a message that your email address was confirmed? It should read something like “Activated! You can now publish…”
If you already got that and the confirmation prompt still appears, could you please try clearing your browser cache? Do you still see the notice after doing that?
