Not seeing new blog followers/subscribers
-
Hi there,
So here’s my problem; once I moved to a self-hosted WP.org blog, I’m not seeing my followers on the new WP.org blog. Could someone in Support move my WordPress.com followers from my old wordpress.com site to my new wordpress.org site? My old blogsite is http://stacydymalski.wordpress.com and my new one is http://www.nonsensetomomsense.com, and I’m using JetPack on my new WP.org site to track site stats.
I actually made the switch a year ago last June, and I’ve been putting up with this problem since then, until I stumbled upon the resolved “New Blog Subscribers Not Showing Up” forum thread.
I see also, that new followers may be following my old blog and that the solution to this is to make the old WP.com private via Settings. I’m reluctant to make my old WP.com site private b/c it’s also redirected to http://www.nonsensetomomsense.com URL and I’m worried that making my old wp.com will somehow screw up my new wp.org site. Does that make sense?
I originally post this question on the WP.org forum and they referred me to the WP.com forum. I hope you can help.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
