Not seeing pages or tagline on my blog
-
I am using the Lyretail theme. My pages claim to be published (according to my dashboard), but cannot be seen on the blog. My tagline is also there (according to the web) but it is not seen across the top as expected. Do I need to change to another theme? Can anyone help me fix this? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have a different issue. Use this link to create your own thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1 -

Not every theme displays a Tagline and your theme is one that does not display one. https://lyretaildemo.wordpress.com/Create a header image with the site title and tagline text on it and upload it. Then in the customizer you can suppress the display of the site title. https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/
re: my pages aren’t appearing
Please see https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/ first
They must be public pages – not private and not drafts.
Public – The page will be visible to everyone.
Protected – The page is protected with a password you set. Only people who have the password can view a protected page.
Private – Pages are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private pages are not visible in Reader, feeds, or in any search. A page can be private without being password protected.

@writingwithaview, Lyretail does have the tagline in the HTML, but it is hidden from view in the CSS. To bring the tagline back, we would have to use some Custom CSS, but you would need the WordPress.com Premium Plan upgrade in order to save and apply the CSS.
You can try out and preview custom CSS before you buy as explained here. Here would be the CSS you would need.
.site-description { display: block; } -
I also tried figuring how to get the social media widgets on my blog. I have a link that says to follow me on Twitter, but the link does not allow clicking. Is this a part of the premium package?

I would suggest using the Social Media Icon Widget, and you can enter all your URLs there. It takes all the pain out of that. :)
