Not showing in google search

    Hello,

    My blog (email visible only to moderators and staff) has been up for months now and is still not showing up in google search. I’ve read that it just takes time sometimes, and that any other step doesn’t really make a difference. I’m just wondering if there’s something I’m missing or doing wrong, or if it’s a simple error somewhere somehow. I don’t really understand SEO and I blog mostly for fun, but I still desire to reach people and hopefully be helpful in some way.

    Hi there,

    There is nothing wrong with your site, but you can do everything right and still not show up in search results. Whether or not your site appears in search results is ultimately up to Google and depends on a number of factors, including but not limited to, the type of content you post about, how regularly you post, what words you use in your post titles, and how many other sites link back to yours.

    You can see this post for some tips on stuff that might help making your site more discoverable, but in the end it depends on the search engines themselves.
