not showing summary of posts

Although my current settings has “show summary” of posts, as opposed to “full view”, I still am not seeing the summaries. Some of my posts are quite long and its difficult for visitors to see the posts they want without extensively scrolling.
Can you please look into this and check to see why this is happening?

That summary setting is only for emails which are sent out to subscribers of your blog and for your site’s RSS feed (which is for people who read your site via a feed reader like Feedly or Bloglovin’).
Certain themes only display the first few lines of each post in a similar way, but that is a functionality that is built in to the theme itself.
Not all hope is lost though! We have created a tool which will let you do something similar manually. You’ll have to enter a short line of code in each of your posts, but it works great. You can read about that “More” tag right here:
