Not showing the correct Domain Name

  i just bought the domain name ameliecambray.com and it’s showing up as ameliecambray.wordpress.com. however, this is not the domain I bought? How do I make it show amycambray.com?

  Correct account: Yes

  Hiya, thanks for replying. Now that i purchased ameliecambray.com does that mean I can use to domain on other websites if I didn’t want to upgrade to WordPress pro? or will I have to cancel my purchase and re purchase my domain somewhere else?

  Yes, you can use the domain with a different hosting provider by changing its name servers: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/change-name-servers/

  60 days after registration, a policy imposed on all domain registrars by the organization which oversees us (ICANN), you can also transfer the domain to a different registrar: https://wordpress.com/support/transfer-domain-registration/

  Ok thank you. and if i cancel my purchase with you, will that domain name become available again to purchase straight away on other platforms?

  There used to be a Personal Payment plan of £36 a year as this is what I have for my design website. Is this not an option anymore? I can’t afford £180 a year but I need the domain ameliecambray.com

  It can take anywhere from 5 days to a month for the domain to return to the public market.

  Once a domain is canceled, there’s a 5 day grace period during which we can recover it, and after that, we have no control over it.
