Not Square Blavatar (empty space that isn’t white)
-
How do I make a blavatar that has actual blank space in it that isn’t white? Check out the http://www.rottentomatoes.com icon for example — it’s a circle, and the surrounding area is the color of your tab. If I make a 250×250 square that has some blank space in it, or does not fill the 250×250 box, how can I make it so that that also shows up as the color of the tab and not white?
Thank you!

If you know the exact colour of the tab, just make an avatar that contains the shaped image you want on a “that particular colour” background. Mind you, on any other background, the same colour will show up.
There’s no way to do it with transparency.
