Not sure if my domain is setup correctly
-
Hi,
I am having some difficulty mapping by domain, which I allready own.
I purchased the add on domain(hevysguides.com) and assigned the dns at my sevice provider(canadianwebhosting.com) and am still redirected to hevysguides.com.
I am also being redirected to hevysguides.com when I try to go to hevysguidesdotcom.wordpress.com.
I am not sure what I am missing..
Thanks,
Charles

Did your purchase a domain mapping upgrade?

Did you follow this guide?

I am also being redirected to hevysguides.com when I try to go to hevysguidesdotcom.wordpress.com.
That’s what domain mapping is for.

It looks like you have domain mapping but you did not change the name servers to point to WordPress.COM
Please check at your registrar on the domain name setting
We require that your name server configuration include only the following servers or their numeric equivalents:NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COM -
You have a foreign registrar and that might require a zone record to be added by the staff – @TT has already flagged this for staff attention – they will add a zone record for you if required

I did change the name server for this domain to point to workpross.com. I may have missed something though so I have put a ticket into my service provider for some assistance.

http://hevysguides.com/ seems to be working just fine.
When a domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about “redirect errors”. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.
