not sure my wordpress.com version is current

  I wonder if our website using wordpress.com (free) has the current version. I need to add a new admin user and all I have is to ‘invite new user’ and not ‘add new user’ option like the help screen where you can enter email, password, name etc. Is my version old now? if so, how do I update? How do I invite a new user without entering name, email, password etc.?

  WordPress.com is always running the most recent version of WordPress. We take care of that for you behind the scenes.

  I need to add a new admin user and all I have is to ‘invite new user’ and not ‘add new user’ option like the help screen where you can enter email, password, name etc.

  That option for adding users don’t exist on WordPress.com, as it’s not possible to create user accounts for other people on a specific WordPress.com site.

  In order to have someone contribute to a WordPress.com site, they first have to create their own WordPress.com username account, and then you invite that existing account as a contributor to your site. You do this at My Site ->Manage ->People.
