Not sure what DNS records to add into form to remap domain and email?
-
Sorry if I’m being dim. Ive just mapped my wordpress site to an existing domain ‘the-wedding-dresser.co.uk’. It suggests I need to add DNS records to ensure my email address ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’ still works. Is this right? And if so, what DNS records do i need to add?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
That is correct! If you have email hosting through a company like Zoho or GoDaddy, you’ll need to contact them and ask for your MX records. Once you have them, you can follow this guide to set them up:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/custom-dns/
If you’re looking to set up email forwarding, you can do that follow these directions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/
Let me know if I can help with anything else!

Thanks Shawna. Im a little confused. The site was hosted by ‘web hosting.uk’, but because i remapped the wordpress site to that domain they are saying they no longer host anything for me. Would my email have been hosted by someone different? How can i find out who? Sorry :-/

If you had email set up through your previous host, you’ll need to contact them about whether you still have email hosting with them. It sounds like you don’t.
With WordPress.com, you can have up to 5 email address forwarded to an existing email account. You can set this up via Store > My Domains, click on ‘Edit Email.’
If you’re interested in having a separate email address to log in to, you’ll need to find an email host. We have some information on email hosts here:

Let me know if I can help you setup your email addresses!
