Not sure what to do

I’m following instructions to move my site from Wix to WP. (https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-properly-switch-from-wix-to-wordpress-step-by-step/). Per the instructions, I set up a Bluehost account. I created a new domain, http://www.insightwavetemp.com. However, I already have a WP account with a different domain, http://www.customerexperienceinsight.wordpress.com. Can I delete the WP domain name and just work with Bluehost? To further complicate matters, once the site is completed I’ll transfer it to my current domain http://www.theinsightwave.com.

You are following instructions for a WordPress.org website which won’t work on WordPress.com.
WordPress.com has a simple Wix import tool, https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-wix/ -
Actually you were following the correct instructions if you were moving your Wix site to a site at Bluehost using the WordPress.org software.
The instructions provided by @staartmees will work if you’re moving from Wix to https://customerexperienceinsight.wordpress.com/
