  Hello,
  I paid the transfer fee but it says not transferrable when I try and finish the set up?

  Hi there!

  It looks like the domain was registered with GoDaddy less than 60 days ago. Domains can’t be transferred until they are at least 60 days old. However, you can still use the domain by connecting it to your WordPress.com site instead of transferring it.

  Since you paid for a domain transfer that can’t be completed, here are the next steps I recommend:

  • Go to this link and cancel the Domain Transfer to get a refund.
  • Go to https://wordpress.com/pricing and choose a WordPress.com plan that suits the features you need. If you aren’t sure which plan is best suited for you, feel free to tell us about the site you’d like to build. We can suggest the best plan for you.
  • Once you’ve upgraded to a WordPress.com plan, follow the steps here to connect a domain. “Domain connection” is included with all WordPress.com plans, so you won’t be charged for it separately once your site has a WordPress.com plan.
  • Wait for propagation (the DNS changes can take up to 72 hours to take effect).
  • Set the domain as the primary address.
