Not uploading pictures direct from computer
-
Wont upload pictures, right size but still won’t upload
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
What format are the pictures in, eg jpg, gif, etc? What browser and version are you using?
-
-
What kind of error message are you getting? Does it just spin and spin? Are you using the same name on the pictures as an image already in your media library?
-
It’s when I try to add a picture to a post or even the libary, the loading bar goes to 100% and that’s it the picture wont appear, and then when I try to add a picture to the libary it just comes up with whoops and just says try refreshing the page and if it happens again go to support
-
There are a couple of people reporting server errors right now, so I suggest just waiting an hour or so and seeing if it clears up.
There’s no possibility your media library is full, right?
-
I thought so, thank you and no not at all I only started posting 2 days ago and I have 6 pictures
-
I am also having issues in Firefox and Safari. Even when I resize the photos they will not upload. Should I delete photos from my media library? How do I know when that is full? I have 165 posts. My blog is cristinsadventures.com Thanks for your help :)
-
In media library it shows a message that how much space you have used…
ex – You are currently using 3.0 MB out of 3.0 GB upload limit (0%)…like that..if it shows full then your media library is full and you cant upload pic….. -
Ok, thanks. Now I am a little worried. I just started to delete photos and it looks like they are also deleted from my posts! Is this so? Is there a way to restore the original settings? I am totally freaking out here ;(
-
Do NOT delete files from your media library.
WordPress.com platform uses the media library just like a “real” library. So if you go to your library and the book is missing, you cannot check it out. Wp goes to your library to find a picture and if you deleted it, then it cannot be used. -
@cristinsadventures
If you delete the images form your Media Library they cannot be displayed in your posts. When a visitor’s browser calls for then to be displayed the sever response is that the image is not there so it cannot be displayed.Only images with these file types can be uploaded

.gifYou can upload image files by clicking the Add Media button right above the editing area of a page or a post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-media/

I already cleared all caches AND deleted some photos. How do I get them back in there now? I am ready to cry. I am in Bogota and having the worst time ever trying to do my blog ;( Is there a way to recover what I just deleted?
-
Can they be recovered from my trash? I am using a mac if that helps…..
Thanks! Sorry, I am pretty much panicking right now ;(
-
Do you have access to the original photos?
You might be able to recover them from Google cache: copy image from there and re-upload…
-
How do I access the google cache? I am using Safari at the moment…. Honestly, I don’t even remember which photos were where? This is a nightmare ;( Thanks for your help :)
-
Also for example in my Nov 5th post it shows a pic with a ? mark when I view the blog, BUT when I go into the post to edit, it still shows the photo there. I am so confused. Sorry to keep asking more questions. I am just already behind posting and now have this issue to deal with as well. Thank you for your help :)
-
Sorry, but does anybody know when the problem will be fixed, because it still sin’t working
-
I’m having the same problem. I cannot upload photos. The first two uploaded and then after that, the little box just has a bar across it but no image. Please help!
-
I suspect you two may have browser related issues. Will you please undertake the troubleshooting I post below and provide your step by step reports so Staff have them?
