Not using comments.php
-
Well I have been using wordpress for a long time, after upgrading I just recently realised it’s no longer using my comments.php in either my current theme for the default them. Yet it’s still showing comments. I can’t figure out where it’s getting the information.
For example, I tried editing all of my comments.php files by adding “THIS IS A TEST” to all of the titles. It never showed and the pages never changed. Then I figured ok, I can narrow this down. So I deleted every single comments.php file on my server (i made backups). Still, it’s showing. So i have no idea where comments_template(); is pulling a comments.php file from, there are none.
Any ideas?

You are definitely in the wrong forum. We wordpress.COM bloggers cannot access the files containing the php and html for our underlying templates, as we are all on a multiuser blogging platform, and any edits made would affect all blogs with the same theme. The forum for you is here http://wordpress.ORG/support
