  • Hi there. Those validators have not been brought up to date for HTML 5 and CSS 3. For example, this is the warning displayed when attempting to verify the site’s HTML:

    Using experimental feature: HTML5 Conformance Checker.

    The validator checked your document with an experimental feature: HTML5 Conformance Checker. This feature has been made available for your convenience, but be aware that it may be unreliable, or not perfectly up to date with the latest development of some cutting-edge technologies.

    Since your theme was coded with HTML 5 and CSS 3, results of those types of validators can no longer be used to accurately assess code quality.

    If there is something specific you’re concerned about, feel free to let me know.

    as far as i can tell duplicate id is not a “cutting edge html5 feature”, and hgroup seems to have been droped from the html5, and frameborder=1/0 seems to have css as recomended place to go …

  • frameborder=1/0 seems to have css as recomended place to go …

    That is being generated through the iframe pulling in your YouTube video:

    <iframe class='youtube-player' type='text/html' width='584' height='359' src='http://www.youtube.com/embed/UpqknwKbvDE?version=3&rel=1&fs=1&showsearch=0&showinfo=1&iv_load_policy=1&wmode=transparent' frameborder='0'></iframe>

    Setting the frameborder to 0 on the iframe attribute is something that happens in the video embedding process and it ensures that the video player will look good and have no border in any theme. It isn’t something that can be changed. If it bothers you a lot you could choose to remove your videos, but I wouldn’t worry about it as it causes no harm.

    duplicate id

    id="jp-post-flair"

    This is coming from the sharing buttons below your posts. I will bring it to the attention of the team responsible to see if it is something they want to alter, but again, it causes no harm in the display or functioning of your site.
