Not verified backup codes??????

  Hi all,

  I can’t for the life of me grasp this weirdness with the backup codes.
  So I copied those ten numbers, I pressed the button and it said ‘all finished’ – but when i went back to the page it said: ‘You have not verifies your back up codes’, so I entered one of the numbers in de field…. and it said ‘invalid’ code.

  What is this?????

  I was unable to find a reference to backup codes in the help files. Are you referring to signing in with Two-Factor Authentication?

  Also if you could please provide your site URL we can better provide support.

  There are ten 8 digit numbers on the security page in the account, those are backup codes in case you lost your phone, so I copied the codes, but then it said that I needed to verify, and I had to enter one of those numbers and it was the correct number but it said invalid. I am very confused and need to have an explanation. What am I missing?

  Hello aisjib!

  I did get help from a happiness engineer, but sadly they seem to have jumped ship, pardon the expression. Her last response was six days ago and not helpful. She did not clarify HOW exactly you need to validate the back up codes. I had asked for a step-by-step explanation.

  In the meantime a new issue has cropped up: in the left hand sidebar the “security settings” are missing.

  I would be grateful if someone provided the help I need as well as fixing the missing “security settings’ link.
