Not want Premium on Purchaase
-
I would like to clarify a few important details.
The charges for the domain (lightasafeeder.com) and Professional Email were not intentional purchases. I did not knowingly agree to or use any of these paid services. My intention was always to use the free version of WordPress.
While you mention that more than a year has passed, I was not aware that I was being charged. I had not been actively using my site for a long time, and I only discovered these charges now. As soon as I noticed them, I took action and deactivated the services myself. I believe this shows good faith.
I also noticed that although my account indicates I had a Premium Plan, there is no clear transaction for this in my billing history. This makes the situation even more confusing.
Since I did not use the paid features and was unaware of the charges, I kindly request a refund for the unauthorized costs. I also ask for confirmation that my account is now back to the free plan and that no future charges will be applied.

Hi,
I’m posting this here because support keeps acting like this is some minor “billing confusion,” when in reality, I’m dealing with a full-blown mess created by WordPress itself.
Let’s start from the top:
I opened a free WordPress account. I was extremely careful not to select any paid options.
I never clicked “buy” on anything. I never confirmed a plan.
But somehow — magically — a Premium Plan appeared on my account. And with it, charges for a domain and professional email. Here’s the best part: the Premium Plan shows up in my WordPress billing section, but the invoice for it was never paid.
That’s right — the system activated the plan without any actual payment.
Still, they used that phantom “purchase” to charge me for extra services. And now comes the real kicker:
The money wasn’t even taken by WordPress.
It was processed by Akismet.Yes, Akismet — the spam plugin I’ve never used, never signed up for, and never received a single invoice from.
Akismet took the money — for WordPress services.
No explanation, no notification, and absolutely no transparency.Support keeps brushing me off with copy-pasted links to my billing page.
They “hope this clarifies things.” What exactly is being clarified? That your billing is so fragmented and misleading that I have to reverse-engineer what your system did behind my back?I’m not stupid. I can read a bank statement and an invoice. What I can’t accept is a company silently activating paid services and then charging me through a completely unrelated brand, with zero disclosure.
Here’s what I am going to do:
- cancel everything — including my second, older, paid WordPress blog. You’ve lost a long-term customer.
- start a chargeback process with my bank.
- file a formal complaint with UOKiK (Polish consumer protection authority).
- And I’m preparing to take this to court if that’s what it takes.
I’ll also be sharing this experience publicly and loudly across every platform I use — including this forum — so others don’t get silently tricked into paying for things they never wanted.
