nothing found message

I’ve set my blog to be private and invited viewers, but when I’m testing it they cannot
see the blog posts. It says nothing found. What do I need to do so invited viewers can see the posts? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Have you confirmed that those users a) have wordpress.com accounts and b) have accepted the invitations?
If you want to test things yourself, you could do the following:
-set up a test user profile for yourself with a Subscriber role under a different email address
-invite yourself
-accept (don’t mind if I do!)
-then see if you are able to see private posts when logged in as that test user.

As soon as you publish a post not a page the error message will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/not-found/On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/
The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.

I believe you set your whole blog to private, though. In that case, I think you don’t need to set individual posts to ‘private.’ @timethief, is that what you’re getting at?

If you set a POST to private, then only you can see it. If your posts are Published but on a private blog, then the invited readers of the private blog can read them.
