"Nothing Found" on frontpage despite non-sticky posts & set to show newest
-
I’m new and the search function hasn’t helped with that unfortunately. I have my posts set to public and they are not sticky. I have the front page set to display the last posts.
Still it says “nothing found” on the homepage.

re: front page error message
Nothing Found
It seems we can’t find what you’re looking for. Perhaps searching can help.By default the front page of the blog is the only page that will display all published posts on it. As soon as you publish a post not a page the error message found on the front page of every new WordPress.COM blog will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

Please also check this out: Why do I now have two home pages in my navigation?
If setting up a static front page gives you two home links you can solve this problem by setting up a custom menu. -
You have set up your blog to open on a static page which does not exist. Set it to Blog Posts.
-
It is set to blog/show posts. I have 4 posts already. They are all set to public. And none is set to sticky. And they all have the tag “Food” and images which is defined as showing as featured.

You have the Two Home Page problem, so please read and follow TT’s links. One of those Homes is a static page which does not exist, the other is your blog posts page.
-
How odd, it only counts posts as “posts” for the front side if I add it via the front page, not if I use the top bar. How can I change that?
