nothing I do in suits theme works

    It seems that no matter what I try to do in the suits theme works. I followed the directions for inserting the read more tag to truncate my post. The post shows the more tag in editor, but it still shows the full post on the blog. I followed the directions for selecting different post formats. no matter what I selected, the post was still standard on the blog. I chose the suits theme because of the options I could use for free, but NONE of them work
