On our end we’ve logged you out of any existing sessions. This will mean that you may need to log in again to your WordPress.com account, but once you have, are you able to like content as expected? Thanks for the additional info!

Curiously: I noticed your email address has several dots. That email provider has the capability of ignoring the “dots” (except the one before .com) and delivering to the same inbox.
Would you consider temporarily changing your email address so it has one extra dot or fewer, just to see whether that makes a difference? I’m kinda grasping for straws here, and changing your email address (while essentially keeping it the same) would knock out two possibilities.
Try that, and then look for the verify email and click on that. Thanks in advance!
By the way, if the problem is all of the dots, you could keep the email address without so many dots, and just re-add your Gravatar image to this one. Let us know what you find.

I wasn’t sure how it change the email address itself but I was able to switch the email associated with my WordPress account to a different one and it seems to be working now. Will I eventually be able to switch back to the original email I used?

We’re still not able to identify exactly what was causing your comment likes to not work, but you’re more than welcome to try switching your WordPress.com account back to your original email address – it might actually be worth testing that because if the problem doesn’t come back, that tells us that the “email address refresh” may have solved it.
