Notices of new post not being sent

    What can I check to see why the notices of a new post have stopped being sent to my followers ?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    hi

    You could follow your blog with an email account, then try creating a new post and see whether you get a notification or not.

    There’s nothing to check on your end. You need to ask the follower who noticed that to check their settings by following this guide:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/following/

    You can also let me know their WordPress.com username or tell them to contact us to have a closer look.

    Hello FSTAT
    Well one of the followers is my email (email visible only to moderators and staff). I look at the guide and I had followed the steps to activate the follow as shown. It seems the last notice I got was in April I had two new posts in May that did not send out an alert that a new post went up.
    Does is make a difference if those post were posted as a Featured post ?

    Publishing them as sticky should not prevent the emails from going out, no.

    I have subscribed to your site. If you’re willing, can you please publish a test post, perhaps one marked as sticky and one that’s not, so I can see if the emails come through on my end? Comment here when you’ve done that, in case they don’t.

    Else let me know once you publish the next post on your site so I can check whether I receive the email.

    I received an email notification last night for the newest post on your site, so those notifications are working fine.

    I took another look at your email address, and it turns out you are not actually subscribed to email notifications from your own site. You are following the site in the Reader, but you don’t have email notifications for the site active. I must have missed that the first time I looked.

    To enable email notifications, go to the Reader and click the Manage button. Look for your site in the list of sites you follow and click on Settings next to your site to see the options for enabling email notifications. Once you change that, you should immediately receive a confirmation email.
