Notification after commenting by mail (and not being author of post)

How can I subscribe to further comments on a post if I send a comment to that post by mail and if I am not the author of that post?

At the moment, if I comment on the webite I can choose to receive notifications for further comments on that post (“Notify me of new comments via email.”). How can I choose the equivalent if I comment to a post by email?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Found this blog entry by WordPress that the default to follow further comments after commenting had an unsuccessful trial. Now I wonder if the setting is still there at least so I can switch it on if I want to. The link provided in the blog post below doesn’t go to the desired setting

Ok, it can be managed from the reader:
    https://wordpress.com/following/edit/

If I don’t report back here, the setting of instant post and comment notifications solved the issue for me. I expected it in the WP admin section, but there (<your site>/wp-admin/index.php?page=subscriptions&option=comments) only unsubscribe and a few other options are available.

Support page explaining more under “Manage Email and IM Settings for Specific Blogs”: https://en.support.wordpress.com/following/

With respect to the link above:
That link in the documentation in the section “Change Your Email Settings” does not work for me: http://wordpress.com/#!/read/subsettings/.

    One more general comment:

I support the wish by many to have a global option to follow specifically answers to ones own comments instead of all comments.

The above solution, however, to receive post and comments updates instantaneously may be a robust setting to run an email group via WordPress.

    Thanks for your services!
