Notification box

Hello! I noticed since this morning, I am receiving problems with seeing the comments left on my post. Every time I receive a message, the notification box turns bright orange and I click on it. I can tell from the Notifications listing, who is commenting on what post. But if I select the comment, I see a big white box loading and nothing else happens. To see my notifications, I am forced to select, “View All.” Why is this happening?

Hello Timethief! Thanks for flagging my post for Staff attention. Unfortunately, the problem seems to be getting worse. Not only I am unable to access the comment from the notification box but now, if I select View All, I cannot access the comments at all.

The orange notitfications icon has disappeared from my Admin bar and I assume hat’s because Staff are working on that feature. :(

Oh okay thanks Timethief. Yes Macmanx I cleared my browser’s cache and the problem still exists.

Thank you for this discussion, I also was having the same problem as theslysilverfox as of this morning. I just cleared the cache and cookies and now it is working. Good luck theslysilverfox!

Macmanx, when I noticed the problem this morning with the orange box, I chose to click on View All and that’s how I was reading my comments. But this afternoon, I noticed that not only the orange box was not working but the View All as well. I had to access my notifications through the Dashboard……I spoke to some of the bloggers I am following and they are complaining about this problem too……….

My notifications haven’t been working all day.
When a new notification arrives, the box turns orange, but when I click on any of the entries, they won’t open. The only way I can get them to open for reading is to open them, close them, and then refresh the page. Otherwise, the little wheel just spins and spins.
I’m not having any trouble with any other site, and my flash and java are up to date. I’m using updated Firefox. I’ve done the cookie and cache business.

Macmanx, I tried the notifications box this morning and I was experiencing the same problem as yesterday. But this evening, everything seems back to normal. Thanks a million!

Good morning Macmanx! I was checking my notifications box this morning and I saw a comment waiting for my approval. When I clicked on it, I am not seeing the bottom of the comment which gives the option to Repy, Approve, Spam, Trash. I had to click on View All in order to approve the comment. Unfortunately, when I selected Approve, I got the rotating circle and nothing else happened. I went to my Dashboard to approve the comment there. Is there a problem with the system today? Please advise.

MacManx, I think I will leave this thread open. I am experiencing problems with my notification box again. I received 13 notifications and I am only seeing 7. I remembered in my private email that there were more and I selected View All. I saw the 6 notifications and when I tried to approve a comment, nothing happens. I had to go to my Dashboard and approve the comment there. Please help!
