notification button on admin bar hangs – how can I fix it?
-
When clicking the orange (or even grey) notifications icon on the admin bar, the dropdown just hangs. Can’t see recent comments / likes. I cleared cookies and cache, as suggested, and retried, but no luck.
Any other ideas how to fix it?

Hi Wayne,
Thank you for those details! Do you have any extensions installed in Chrome? You can check those by opening this link in Chrome’s address bar:
chrome://extensions/
If you have extensions installed there, please temporarily disable them and see if your notifications start working again. If they do, one of those extensions may be causing the problem — you can re-enable them one by one to find the culprit.
If you don’t have any extensions installed, or if that doesn’t resolve the problem for you, please let me know!

Hey Rachel
Thanks for that. Unfortunately that didn’t solve the problem. Perhaps I should re-install chrome, much as I’d hate to.
Anyway, it works on IE, so no stress, I can live with it for now.
