Notification count does not reset

    I use the WordPress extension in Google Chrome for the notification icon in the browser taskbar. It used to be that, when I clicked on the icon to list the notifications, the counter would then return to zero. Now, it seems the only way to “acknowledge” a notification (comment, etc) is to click it, each individually — which is quite cumbersome if a number of comments are added to the same blog post.

    I’ve tried using the same extension for Firefox and the same behavior results. I’ve also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the extensions to no avail, so I’m quite certain the problem isn’t with the extension sitting on my computer. Even the icon in the top bar on the WordPress dashboard does not reset the number.

    Is there a way to clear (or acknowledge) the notifications when the list is viewed?
