Notification of comments on all articles

  Hi,

  Not really sure how to word this so bear with me.

  I write my own articles on my blog here http://thegift73.wordpress.com/ but I also help out on TSF (Tech Support Forums) and use my articles from my personal blog on their WP blog as they might be useful to our users. I am not an administrator on their WP blog, just a contributor. The process of me getting my articles looked at and then published there goes like this:

  1] Copy article to TSF New Articles section ( http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f195/ )
  2] Let other users see it for a while to check for errors etc
  3] Article get published onto the TSF WordPress blog

  There are currently about 5 of us writing articles for the TSF WordPress blog, but the big problem is that users are going to comment on them and ask questions. Now as soon as the article is moved from the forum section to the WordPress blog, the writers are unable to get notification of any and all comments on the articles. The only way around this is to comment on each one and then subscribe to the post.

  Now it’s important that only the owners of the TSF WordPress blog are admins, and the article writers just publish. What we would like to know is, is there a way for the admins to allow article writers to get email notifications of any comments, regardless of whether or not it was their article. The reason for this is that we would still like to be able to assist users who are having computer issues when they post on the TSF WordPress blog, and not in the regular forums (as they are separate) Is there any way the admins can add contributors to a notification subscription some how automatically?

  Any solutions to this would be greatly received.

  You can subscribe to the comments rss feed. There should be a link to it in the RSS widget. I believe it is http://yourblognamehere.wordpress.com/comments/feed/

  Just subscribe to the feed and use an rss reader (some mail clients can handle rss, too), and you will get all the comments.

  An aside: many frown on duplicated content, and there can be deprecation of one, the other, or both sites by search engines — so I’ve been told!

  Ignore what I said: It appears that the blog you are most concerned with (not your personal blog) is not a wordpress.com blog. You might still be able to get an rss feed to work, but not the way I described.
