notification settings frequently turned off

    Every few months I stop getting the postings from Youth Services Book Review to which I subscribe. When I go to look, it says I have turned off getting these notifications. I have NEVER turned these off as I really, really need them! so how am I continually being turned off??????? I have kept a number (5-6) emails telling me I have subscribed so WHO is unsubscribing me?

    Hi @kyurenka, we had an issue a while ago where people were mysteriously unsubscribed, but that was resolved.

    Are you still having trouble?

    If so, is there any chance you’re forwarding the emails to anyone?

    I do forward the emails as they are book reviews I must send to the publishers. Why would this matter?

    Ah. The unsubscribe links don’t require a login; they’re unique to your account.

    If you’re forwarding the emails with the unsubscribe link intact, someone could be clicking that thinking they can unsubscribe from your emails, but that would just unsubscribe you instead.

    Well, that is not good news – but good to know. That would explain why I have been unsubscribed every couple months for years?
    And nothing I can do about it?

    Unless you tell these publishers to not click unsubscribe and they follow those instructions, no.

    Edited to add: You may want to instead take a screenshot of the review or copy and paste the text of the review into a new email that would not have that unsubscribe link.
