Notifications
-
I’ve had this blog for over a dozen years and haven’t changed my notification settings. It’s been set to receive email notifications for posts on blogs I follow and for comments on my blog. I’ve received none for about ten days now. Can someone please check this and see if it can be fixed?
I don’t see where I can put a screen shot of my settings. But if you need one let me know.
Thank you,

Sorry, not official “tech support” but a long-time member and volunteer here. Your site’s discussion settings look good to me. Can you make sure that the notification settings for your site at https://wordpress.com/me/notifications are the same?
Looking at your blog post from May 30 it sounds like you’re also having an issue with email notifications from sites you’ve subscribed to. Assuming that you’ve checked your email’s spam folder, have a look at your Reader subscription settings at https://wordpress.com/me/notifications/subscriptions and if all is good there, at https://wordpress.com/reader/subscriptions
Last but not least give these suggestions a try https://wordpress.com/support/troubleshooting-not-receiving-notification-emails/
Let us know how that goes.

2020testjj Whoever you are, thank you for volunteering to help. It is very much appreciated. I ended up on the “last but not least” suggestion and found all my notifications from the last two weeks in my spam folder. Those emails have been coming into my email box for over a decade and have suddenly been thrust into spam! I have had to mark a few of them safe in the past, but yet they still ended up there. If you have any suggestions on how to avoid that, let me know. Seems even when marked safe, they still get dropped there.
Thank you again for your response. You made my weekend. 🙂
P.S. I know I have an ancient email address for this, but I use that address only for my blog. I get no other junk mail or personal mail at that one. It’s worked great for a dozen years. 🤷♀️

Yay! Glad you found them and glad I could help!
I’ve used both hotmail and yahoo email addresses on my WPcom accounts and all it takes is for a number of other email users to mark similar emails as spam and the entire system shivers and drops those emails into spam for everyone.
One way to help continue getting emails from WordPress.com is to add the email address for notifications to your email address book.
Cheers and happy blogging!
