notifications

@supernovia. I finally bit the bullet and went to firefox. The problems still exist. I guess it might just be a new WP thing and not really problems?
-
@krisegbert it really shouldn’t be.
Do you only see it intermittently, like @daisymae2017 described?

@krisegbert may I log in as you and try to respond to a notification? You’ll need to tell me which one and what you want it to say. Or, would it be enough for me to start typing without submitting?
Again, this could clear your current notifications, but only during my test.
If we can duplicate the problem, we can find a solution, but I can’t yet figure out how to see what you’re seeing.

I am so sorry it has taken me so long to respond. The new browser I put in is slower than molasses in January –which is a real thing, I tried it once!!! (I put in firefox)– and I have visitors in the area and don’t go on blogs when visitors are around! It seems a bit rude—
@supernovia, you may do whatever you want with my notifications. I don’t really use them, other than to check which blog post I need to find and read. It doesn’t matter which blog you look at. They are all wonky. (they are all very different, too!) I do find it odd that daisymae can look at my notifications, or I might not understand what she is doing. Kind of creepy to have someone not a staff do that, but whatever. At any rate, as I said, all three blogs are wonky. -
OK, I just figured out how to read and respond to notifications. I’ll be jiggered. I don’t use the dashboard at all. I go to my blog from the dashboard. That is super crazy, but I will do it this way. To respond to blogs I follow, I also need to open up their blog and can’t respond on the dashboard page. Absolutely bizarre and lengthy, but it does work.
*******THUS, Don’t use the dashboard for anything except going to the blog you are reading. Do not read and respond in the dashboard. It will not be efficient. The dashboard is only good for finding new posts in the blogs you follow. :o) -
krisegbert, I’m only reply to let you know there has been a misunderstanding what you read. I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear but I can only read your thread called notifications. I can’t see your WordPress Notifications.
-
@krisegbert I logged in as you; I can interact with the comments through Notifications.
I’ll be digging for other ideas in the other thread. Since these two threads are related after all, do you mind if I close this one?
-
@supernovia, close it. And I wish I could send you my thoughts to comment on as me!!! It must be my laptop, not sure what to do, but no worries. I don’t come in as often since it is so much harder to communicate with others, but I’m still around! Thank you for your help.
