Notifications coming to two different emails!

    Howdy! I have two blogs and I receive notifications for one of the blogs at two different email addresses–how do I fix this??

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

    What are the emails whereby notifications are sent?

    Only staff would be able to see this information and we’ll look to see what’s happening there.

    The two emails are:

    (email visible only to moderators and staff) (I’d like to keep receiving emails to this address)

    and

    (email visible only to moderators and staff) (I’d like to stop receiving emails to this address)

    The emails are notifying me of updates I am making to posts and pages on my blog!

  • Thanks for the details!

    The first email you shared is the one you’re using for your account. The second one, however, does not exist in our database, so no notifications about your account would be sent there. It also doesn’t look like you have used that email address to subscribe to any WordPress.com blogs.

    Could you share an example of a notification you received to that second address? You can take a screenshot of that email, upload it to your site’s media library and let us know, we’ll take a look.

    Of course!

    The emails I’m receiving are duplicates that are just alerting me of changes made to posts and pages on my blog (changes which I am making myself as I update pages and posts). I’m not sure how to take a screenshot of this email in such a way that the name of the blog is not openly pictured. I believe I originally began the blog using the second email address, and then changed the primary email address to the first address, but somehow I am still receiving change/update notifications at the second address.

    As the email is not set up in our database, is there any email forwarding from one email inbox to the other?

    Great thought! I combed through all my mail forwarding settings for both accounts yesterday and found nothing! Alas alas! Thanks for all your help everyone! If you have any other ideas, let me know!

    Hi there, On the WP Admin Settings>Writing page at /wp-admin/options-writing.php there’s a section “Email Post Changes”. https://wordpress.com/support/settings/email-post-changes/

    Have a look to see if your other email address isn’t listed there. If it is, you can remove it and then save your changes.

    Thanks for all your help everyone! I had to go into the Classic View to see the WP Admin page, rather than the Default View, but the email address was listed as an additional recipient of the post changes!!!
