Notifications for comments that aren't on my site and don't make any sense
-
I’m getting weird comment notifications that I can’t find on my site. I think there’s a dummy site someone set up and is using it for linking to their own site. This has been going on for a while. This needs to be looked into. Can you help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
This is strange! Can you upload a screenshot of one of these emails to your Media > Library page? I’d be happy to take a further look!
Thank you!

OK I’ve put them in my library — the two newest are screenshots of email notifications I got this morning —

Hi there!
Thank you for the screenshots! So after taking a look there comment notifications are not for your WordPress.com site: haroldleemiller.wordpress.com. Instead it is for this site:
http://www.haroldleemiller.com/blog/
That is a self-hosted, WordPress.org site. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. At WordPress.com, we provide hosting, support, and tons of features for blogs. Users also have the option to purchase a variety of upgrades to customize the look and feel of their blog. WordPress.org is a software for self-hosted sites. With WordPress.org, users are provided access to all backend files and can upload custom themes and plugins.

So essentially, I have no access to that site as it is not hosted with us at WordPress.com. If you log into your self-hosted site you should be able to see those comments.
Let me know if you have any questions with this!
