Notifications not showing up

  Hi!

  Up until yesterday every time I published a new post I got at least 3-6 likes and around the same for new followers. Now for the last 2 days I have gotten only 1 like after 3 new posts. I am always notified when I like my own posts, but I didn’t get those notifications today after liking my newest ones. But I also look at my posts and my like does show on there, and I have no new likes. Are the notifications on my account just not showing my likes and follows or am I really not getting them? I would be surprised if it were the latter.

  Hi Erika.

  It looks like you are using plenty of tags for each post, this can lead to your posts to not show in the common areas of the WordPress.com Reader.

  That might be affecting your usual amount of likes. Also, keep in mind that depending on your subject matter, more or less people might be around to catch your new posts as soon as they go out.

  That said, the opposite might be true too: your selected topics might be popular over the weekend, and perhaps many others were also posting at the same time you did, thus, “burrowing” your content.

  I would advice you to try and use at most 10 total tags + categories (10 in total, not each), and keep an eye on the behavior of your usual readers and likers. Maybe they are more active during the week? At nights?
