Notifications Reply to Comments Error

    I’m new to using WordPress.com, but not to wordpress. With the new sign in asking if you want to sign in using WordPress.com I gave in and did it. Now, I see this little bell with notifications on the upper right and go in and see the comments all over my boards and an ability to reply! Hurray! I like this.

    THEN I go into reply and get an error that states simply: Reply Failed: Please Try Again.
    All of my sites are current. Jetpack is current. I see that this is a common problem that has cropped up repeatedly over the years in various forms. Any idea how to fix it at this time? I’m accessing the site in Chrome on a desktop running Win 10.
