Notifications tab not updating

  I recently went from my wordpress.com site, over to a self-hosted site, and then back to wordpress.com, but pointing my own domain name at my wordpress hosted site. When I moved back to the wordpress hosted site, I noticed that my notifications tab in the admin bar that lets me know when I get likes, follows, comments, etc. is no longer updating. The last time it was updated was 36 days ago, even though I’ve received likes and subscriptions since then. I’ve already cleared my cache and cookies, and my browser (Google Chrome) is up-to-date. Is there something else I need to do to get this fixed?

  Hi Lynda,

  I am able to reproduce this issue as well. Before I report this to our team, and I get a little more information?

  Are all the notifications (up to 36 days ago) before you made the move to self-hosted and back?

  Did the notifications update at all after you came back?

  Once I get this information I will report it to our team for review. Thank you!

  Yes, all of the notifications are from before I moved to a self-hosted site. And no, the notifications never updated once I came back.

  Hello again,

  My notifications seemed to work for 2-3 days, and stopped working again. Not sure if it’s something I’m doing that caused this to happen again, but my notifications tab hasn’t been working since 2 days after it was fixed. :/ Please let me know if there is anything I can be doing to fix this.
