Notifications when another blog tags you?

  I am trying to find out where the notifications are when I get tagged in another WP blog. My friends say they get notifications but they don’t know if they have a plug-in or not. For example, if a personal blog tags me in Throwback Thursday by linking to my page – how can I find that? Someone said it should be under comments but I dont’ see it. Any help, please?

  It’s known Pingbacks.

  You can enable/ disable this from My Sites → Settings → Discussion (Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)

  http://www.noveldescent.com is using self-hosted WordPress.org on HostGator servers.

  This forum is for WordPress.com hosted sites exclusively and the support guidance for a WordPress.com hosted site is not relevant to self-hosted WordPress.org site.

  Suggest you visit the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support/

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are little different and can be confusing. Take a look at the difference between both at https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
