Notify another site that I have mentioned them?

Is there a way to let someone, an author, say, know that I have (favorably, or course) mentioned them in my blog, and if so, can you tell/link me? thx.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

When you publish a pingback is automatically sent to the site you link to if you enable this setting below. See here > Settings > Discussion

You can use the Facebook like box widget found here > Appearance > Widgets
You can also enable sharing buttons on your posts, pages and index pages.
Also note the “like” button. http://en.support.wordpress.com/sharing/You can have Facebook like & share buttons on your posts.
