notify comments by email – please don’t
-
I do not need email notification of comments on my blog. But I don’t see where I can switch that off. It’s not in the faq that I can see and also I did not find it when I searched email topics on the forum

Go Dash board >> Options >> discussion
At “E-mail me whenever”, un check “Anyone posts a comment”
Easy :)

where is the tab “options”? can you give a link? – in my dashboard there is only blog stats blog surfer and so on
-
This is what you see on the admin side of your blog:
Dashboard – Write – Manage – Comments-Blogroll-Presentation -Users-Options-Upgrades -
sorry but my tab is only “dashboard – write – manage – comments – profile – upgrades”
i dont have any options

It sounds like you have a global dashboard only and no blog. Here’s the link for the signup page http://wordpress.com/signup/

This thread provided a clue to my own problem — I no longer am receiving email notifications, where I was when I first started my blog. I checked the “discussions” option as suggested above, and I still have to choices to notify me each time a comment is made, checked positively. Any idea why it stopped happening?

I’m still getting notification on my .com blogs. Perhaps your ISP’s spam/virus filter is catching them. Whitelist wordpress.com and you should be OK I would think.

Also, you might want to check the e-mail ID you have associated with this particular account. Maybe you’re using some other ID.
