“notify me of site updates” via comment form
-
For several months I’ve been using Feedburner via a widget to offer readers an email subscription. So I was surprised to see on my wordpress stats that one person had subscribed to my blog via wordpress. I wondered how that was possible since I don’t have a wordpress subscription widget. Now I realize the person must have subscribed via the “notify me of site updates” option on the comment form.
Is it okay to have email subscribers via both Feedburner and wordpress? Or should I uncheck the box?
Which email subscription is better, ie. faster? Feedburner is awfully slow. But I was reluctant to switch to wordpress
because I don’t want to lose my subscribers due to a changeoverThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
As all wordpress.com blog have feeds for both posts and entries anyone can subscribe directly. This is the feed for posts on your blog:
http://amusingthezillion.com/feed/
This is the feed for comments made on your blog:
http://amusingthezillion.com/feed/comments/feed/In addition to that any other wordpress.com blogger when signed in can add your blog to their Blog Surfer.
I use Feedburner and have done so for years. I’m not prepared to disturb my readers by switching over to the new blog subscription system provided by wp.com until I no longer witness forums post describing problems and/or deficiencies with that system.
