Notifying editor when new posts are ready for review

    I’m trying to figure out how to get WordPress to shoot an e-mail to the blog editor when a contributor has submitted a new post for review. Does anyone know if this is possible?

    I’m the blog admin right now, but I’m just helping set up this blog for a university department and the editor is going to be not me, but someone else in the department.

    It just seems weird that the notification works for comment moderation but not for new posts.

    Any thoughts?
