Notifying subscribers of new posts

  I would love to add the feature on my blog that allows our friends and family to subscribe and get email notifications every time I write a new blog post. I keep searching but can’t figure out how to do this. Any help would be great, thank you!

  The best way to do this is probably through the Publicize feature, which can automatically push your new posts onto social media. Check out this WordPress.com blog post for more information: https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2013/07/29/publish-and-promote/.

  You can add the blog subscription widget to your site. That will allow even non-WordPress users to subscribe to email notifications to your blog. https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/

  If you want to invite specific people to follow your blog you can add them as followers via Users ->Add new in the dashboard. They’ll still need to accept the invitation, and you can only invite ten people at a time to prevent people abusing this feature to send spam.
