Nr of posts on home page, archiving
-
ALL my posts appear on my home page. I have gone to the settings page and selected that only a certain nr of posts appear on the home page, but it doesn’t work.
I would like users to get hold of the old posts using the archives.
Could I get help regarding this please? Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That probably means you’ve set them all as stickies. You need to go to Posts > All Posts and turn them to regular posts, not stickies. You can edit all the posts listed on each page at once (select them all, select Edit from the Bulk Actions pulldown, click Apply, select Not Sticky from the Sticky pulldown, click Update; repeat for next page of posts).

Oh THANK YOU – SOOO much!
I don’t think I ever understood this sticky business in its entirety. :)

You’re welcome!
Your blog front displays your latest posts. You mark a post as sticky only if and when there’s some reason for that post to remain on the front page, on top of more recent ones.

I think I used to set them as sticky because if I didn’t, they’d get lost within all the other sticky ones. I think my idea was that the sticky posts would keep it on top (which in a way is right) but more in the sense that it’s the latest post.
Thanks for your help again.
