Nucleare Theme no "Read More" button on posts

Hi I recently picked the Nucleare theme for my wordpress blog (joyinabowl.com) and I really love it. I’ve explored the theme thoroughly and the only thing I can’t seem to figure out is how to set up the “read more” button on my posts. Currently (being a blog) my posts show up on the home page in newsfeed format. However they can be long and since I plan to post a lot I would love to be able to compress them (show an excerpt & read more button).

Before choosing this theme I checked out the live demo and this was featured. So I don’t understand why it doesn’t work for me. Could it be that I just haven’t figure out where to set it up? Please help!

Here is the link to the theme I picked : https://nuclearedemo.wordpress.com/

  • Nucleare displays the full post on the blog by default, but you can manually add a More tag, which is what you’re seeing on the demo.

Here’s how to do it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/more-tag/

Oh yes, this is great info! Thank you for sharing. I really love the Nucleare theme and working on a new site with Nucleare currently.

  • You’re welcome – glad you’re liking Nucleare!

Thank you so much Kathy! It’s one of the most beautiful themes out there :D Is there a forum link where users can suggest improvements or new features to the theme? In my case the only thing I would hope to see in the future is the opportunity to change the tag cloud format.

  • You can certainly suggest enhancements in the themes forum.

We likely wouldn’t alter the tag-cloud format at this stage since that would change things for users who are already using Nucleare, but certain types of tweaks could be made with custom CSS, depending what you had in mind.
