Hi,
If you assign a menu at Customize > Menus > Menu Locations > Social Links, then it will display at the top right of your site, in the Social Links menu location, which is in the same navigation bar but to the right of the primary menu location. See the How do I set up a social links menu? section of the Add a Social Links Menu support page.

Hi there – to add to what musicdoc said, there are two ways to add social links to a theme. You can use the Social Icons widget, which is what you’ve already done, or you can use a social links menu if the theme supports it. The Nuclear demo shows the theme’s social links menu, and you can set it up by following the steps doc provided.
In a nutshell, first you’ll create your social menu at Customizer > Menus > Add a Menu. After that, you’ll be able to assign it to the theme’s Social Links menu at Customizer > Menus > Menu Locations > Social Links.
Just let us know if you get stuck at any step!
