Number of blog posts per page
-
I’m trying to limit to showing 10 posts per page but it’s showing all of them (currently 12). I have altered the setting, but it’s still the same.
Also, how do I alter so that on the Home page only a snippet of the post is shown? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello! The default post limit is 10, so I’ll do some testing and get back to you.
To set up snippets, you can follow the instructions on the support page about the more tag
I hope that helps.

Hi highertruths,
What theme are you currently using? You should be able to go to https://soultruths.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php and make the necessary changes you desire. The first few options are the ones you want to play around with. You can select the total number of posts you want to show on the blog page and then in the “For each article in a feed, show” option you can select “Summary” instead of “Full text”
I hope that helps! :) Let me know if you need additional assistance!

Hi! I did my testing and discovered that the displayed posts setting will be ignored if you have infinite scrolling turned on. You can disable that in the WP Admin Dashboard, in the reading settings: Screenshot Make sure the box is unchecked.
The Displayed Posts number will now be used, and you will see an “older Posts” button when you reach the end of that number. Screenshot
That should resolve everything. Please let me know if you need more help :)
