Number of blogs on WordPress – research for a bachelor's degree.

  Hello!
  I am writing a bachelor’s degree about blogs and how they influence their readers. I can’t seem to find any answers as to how many blogs (both dead and active) wordpress hosts? Both on a global base and if you know, with Norwegian authors.
