Number of columns in Altofocus theme
-
Hello,
I have chosen the Altofocus theme for my website.
But the design seems to be different from the preview since there are only 3 columns for my index page (4 columns in the preview and for some websites I have seen, using the same theme). Here is the link : https://durocherart.wordpress.com/
Is it a bug with my own computer or could it be something else (new version of the theme…)?(Sorry for my english, I’m french and my topic is already on the french forum but no one cares…)
Thanks a lot for your help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
It looks like there might be a formatting error on the front page of https://durocherart.wordpress.com/. I’ll tag the topic for staff attention. Staff will respond here.

Hi there,
Altofocus does not have a fixed number of columns on the front page. How many columns show will depend on the width of your computer screen, and also on the dimensions of the featured images of the posts themselves, and adjusts dynamically with every new post you add.
That said, at the moment you have your site set to display a static front page under My Site ->Customize ->Homepage settings, but you don’t have any page specified as the front page. For this theme to work like the demo that setting should be set to Latest Posts instead.

Thanks for your help! What a shame it can’t fill automatically the blank I get on the left. I guess I will have to find the proper ratio for every picture…

@durochermaxime, have you tried going to My Site > Customize > Homepage Settings and choosing to display your latest posts? It should fill the page if you use that setting.

Oh thank you! I’ve tried to set “latest posts” the other day but it seemed to disable featured pictures (which should take 2 columns and took only 1). Now I’ve tried again and it works well!
So thanks a lot! -
